In recent days, Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav first mentioned Muhammad Ali Jinnah, the founder of Pakistan, in his statement, after which Jinnah has become the center of political and election speeches and debates.
At the same time, in an interview, Akhilesh Yadav said, "Our biggest enemy is not Pakistan, but the BJP." His statement was covered by the media.
Reacting to Akhilesh Yadav's statement, BJP spokesperson Sambat Patra said, "Whoever loves Jinnah, how can he refuse Pakistan."
Not only that, in a political program of the Jat community in Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday, Union Home Minister Amit Shah said, "Our relationship with you is 650 years old. You also fought the Mughals. We are also fighting." BJP MLA from Muzaffarnagar and candidate Vikram Singh Saini, while addressing an election meeting in a village recently, said, You want to knock Pakistan out like this and the traitors who are eating bread here, if you want such people to be beaten, then press the button of the lotus flower.
However, after this statement was made against the minorities, the villagers chased Vikram Singh Sini away from the village and Vikram Singh, surrounded by the crowd, had to apologize and flee.
Pakistan, Jinnah and Muslim are being debated
Words like Pakistan, Jinnah, Taliban and Mughal are not limited to political rhetoric but are also being used in discussions on TV channels. Here the question arises as to whether the real problems can be left behind in such a situation.
Samajwadi Party spokesperson Abdul Hafeez Gandhi said that "BJP has failed to do politics on the issue of development, it has not been able to do any development work in the state, therefore it is doing politics based on discrimination".
The Bharatiya Janata Party vehemently denies the allegations. Party spokesperson Rakesh Tripathi said that Akhilesh Yadav had mentioned the name of Pakistan and Jinnah in his speeches.
He says that on the day of Sardar Patel's birthday, the whole country was celebrating 'Rashtriya Ekta Divas' (Unity Day) and Akhilesh Yadav was praising Jinnah without any context. Akhilesh is naming Pakistan, Akhilesh is naming Jinnah, his party MP Shafiqul Rehman is calling Taliban Taliban freedom fighters and BJP is being accused that we will have Pakistan and Jinnah in the elections. "It is clear who wants to take advantage of the election by naming Pakistan, the Taliban and Jinnah," he added.
Responding to this, Samajwadi Party spokesperson Abdul Hafeez Gandhi said, "As far as the statement of Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav is concerned, he spoke on the personality of Dr Lohia. His statement is out of context. It is being presented differently.
He said that in the interview he was also asked about Chinese investment. Former Chief of Defense Staff Bipin Rawat had also said that the biggest threat to India was from the northern border, China. He described China as a major threat. Akhilesh Yadav had said the same.
On the other hand, Shahnawaz Alam, the Congress president for minority affairs in Uttar Pradesh, says that the BJP alone is not using Pakistan and Jinnah in the elections.

Alam says there is a clear attempt to polarize the elections by
removing them from the problems of the people and this is being done by both
the BJP and the Samajwadi Party. . It is not only the BJP that is involved in
this politics of polarization.
Controversy over the statement
Akhilesh Yadav had mentioned Jinnah in his statement on the
birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and National Unity Day on October
31 in Hardoi city. He won independence
for India, he did not back down from any struggle. Iron Man Sardar Patel had
banned the ideology of RSS. But now this
word is constantly being heard in UP elections.
Political analyst Sunil Yadav says that Akhilesh Yadav used
Jinnah's name in his speech while talking about independence movement which is
now being debated. Attempts are being made to make this small thing bigger.
What are Muslims thinking?
Most Muslim leaders are silent on these statements and there has
been no protest or reaction from the Muslim community in this regard.
He says that in this election, the Muslims of Uttar Pradesh are
not going to give importance to any sectarian issues. He has understood that
polarization of votes in favor of the Bharatiya Janata Party is possible only
when Muslims react to it. The current rhetoric was started by Akhilesh Yadav.
In such a situation, it becomes more important for Muslims to let this storm
pass quietly.
But when religious issues are debated day and night, won't it
have a direct effect on the people?
To this question, Sunil Yadav says, "It seems that people
are being affected by more issues than religion in this election." Caste
unity also seems to be getting stronger. In the last election, the BJP had won
the election with the alliance of castes. At the moment, Akhilesh Yadav is
trying to do it in his favor. Somewhere the ruling party must be feeling that
if we lag behind in caste equality or issues, its shortcomings can be filled by
religious polarization.
. The media also gives them more space. Such statements can
affect the mind." Attempts are made, but we think most people vote on the
basis of problems.
Are the important issues of the people left behind?
Corona epidemic, economic crisis, unemployment, peasant movement
- these are some of the issues that have been discussed. So has the politics of
polarization suppressed the real problems of the people?
Samajwadi Party spokesperson Hafeez Gandhi said, "The BJP
does not want to talk about rising power tariffs, nor does it want to talk
about the dire state of unemployment and dilapidated roads." She doesn't
even want to talk about the oppression of women. The BJP has no subject, that
is why it is carrying out religious polarization.
Denying the allegations, BJP spokesperson Rakesh Tripathi said,
"If Akhilesh Yadav mentions Jinnah, will we remain silent? We will answer
him.
Tripathi adds, "People in the Samajwadi Party deliberately
mention Pakistan and Jinnah in order to divert attention from development
issues." The BJP has never done that. The Samajwadi Party during its rule built
walls around cemeteries but did nothing for cremation. Shouldn't we say that
now?
Tripathi says the BJP's theme is development, not polarization.
He says, "We are challenging and saying that the opposition party should
discuss with us on the issue of electricity, roads, health, education. We want
to discuss every basic issue but the Samajwadi Party's pool." It's open
because we can tell the difference. "
Rejecting allegations of neglect of minorities during the BJP
rule, Tripathi said, "We can prove from the statistics that there has been
no discrimination against minorities. In our time, 4.3 million houses were
provided under the Prime Minister's Housing Scheme. 27% of them are Muslims.
This is more than the proportion of their population.
